Updated: January 10, 2005

AdInterax owns and manages adInterax® technology, used for the design and manage of online rich media advertising campaigns. Part of our product and service offering involves the serving of advertisements on behalf of our advertiser and publisher clients. We are not involved in determining when or where these advertisements are served, but rather we provide a technology that our clients can use at their discretion. We support an individual's rights to privacy on the internet by providing the following information. We also encourage you to visit the privacy policies of our individual advertiser and/or publisher clients.

Information Collection Practices and Personally Identifiable information

Non-Personally Identifiable information
AdInterax keeps track of impressions and click data (i.e., how many adInterax® ads have been shown to a particular browser and how many times an ad has been clicked on) for every adInterax® ad campaign and may collect anonymous information regarding domain, browser and system configuration information from browsers that have been served an adInterax® advertisement. The specifics of the data collected may change from campaign to campaign. This information is not personally identifiable (non-PII) and does not include name, address, phone or email address.

Personally Identifiable information
For some campaigns, users may be prompted to voluntarily enter information that includes personally identifiable information (PII) within a form or comment area of an advertisement. In these situations, this information is collected by AdInterax on behalf our advertiser or publisher client. As such, AdInterax does not control the use of such data by our client, and users should refer to the privacy policies of the client for further information. AdInterax strongly recommends that clients offer a clear and accessible description of their privacy policy. AdInterax does not share this personally identifiable information with any outside parties other than the client, nor does AdInterax utilize this information for internal purposes in any way.

Cookie Policy
AdInterax uses cookies to store non-Personally Identifiable Information, consistent with our information collection practices described above.

Additionally, AdInterax clients may utilize cookie technology for their own purposes. AdInterax does not control the use of such cookies by our client, and users should refer to the privacy policies of the client for further information. AdInterax strongly recommends that clients offer a clear and accessible description of their privacy policy, including information on cookie usage.

Information Use

The non-PII data that is collected by AdInterax and reported in aggregate to our clients may also be used to determine (i) fees due to adInterax by our clients, (ii) market penetration of adInterax® technology, (iii) effectiveness of adInterax® advertisements, and (iv) managing the targeting and/or frequency of advertising impressions.

Information Collection Methods

Monitoring impressions and click data is done anonymously based upon the number of server requests for particular computer files relevant to the advertising campaign.

Browser data and other data relevant to the user's computer system or network is collected by interpreting certain information that is included within the computer code of all http requests.

The monitoring of the frequency of advertising impressions (i.e. the number of times a user is exposed to an advertisement in a particular amount of time) is done by using a cookie (a small file placed in a web browser that stores information).

Cookie Opt-Out
End-users may opt out of the AdInterax cookies process used to track non-Personally Identifiable Information by clicking the "Opt-Out" button below. To Opt-in, click the "Opt-In" button.

*Note: This Opt-Out process provides an opt-out cookie to your browser. Therefore, if cookies are disabled, erased, or altered, or browser and/or machine software is changed, then the results of this opt-out process maybe undone, and the opt-out will need to be performed again.
